Our time is limited, no matter who we are, no matter where we are, we only have limited amounts of time, even the riches person in the world only has 24 hours in a day, it is what we chose to do with those 24 hours that make a difference. Let me share with you a story that I was told in elementary school, I am paraphrasing, I do not remember the exact word but it went something like this:
An old man was walking along the beach picking up sea shells
and tossing them back into the water, when a young boy approached and said
"Why are you picking them up and throwing them back into the water? There are millions
of them, you'll never pickup enough to make a difference."
the old man nonchalantly picks up another and tosses it back
to the sea, then he looks at the boy and responds
"It made a difference to that one"
This story impacted me, because it told me that I could make a difference, even if it was one person at a time. We are all going to parish from this earth one day, and it is what we leave behind that we will be remembered by, so ask yourself, have you done something to change somebodies life in your lifetime thus far? If not, I implore you to go out and make a difference, it would be a shame if the last breath you took was the end of your legacy.
